GMT On-Demand Debuts at 2008 BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo

Powerful, affordable workforce optimization solution well-suited to the needs of small and mid-sized banks and credit unions

November 18, 2008 -- Norcross, GA and Orlando, FL

GMT Corp., a global industry leader in enterprise workforce management and performance optimization solutions, today announced the launch of GMT On-Demand™, a new managed services workforce optimization suite, at the 2008 BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Exposition. Delivered with the company’s SureServices™ client success methodology, GMT On-Demand provides all of the features and capabilities of GMT Planet®, the company’s flagship workforce management solution, including capacity modeling, forecasting, scheduling, and performance management. GMT On-Demand is designed to provide more rapid deployment flexibility, coupled with lower upfront investment costs.

Based in large part on the misconception that workforce optimization (WFO) software is costly and requires lengthy deployment cycles, many small and mid-sized retail banks, community banks and credit unions have been reluctant to invest in WFO technology. Further, previously available managed services offerings have typically either lacked the full capabilities of a vendor’s on-premise offering or severely limited future growth paths as organizational needs evolved. Designed specifically for the operational and budgetary needs of these institutions, GMT On-Demand enables these smaller and more specialized institutions to reap the full benefits of WFO technologies to drive significant, ongoing labor cost savings and operational efficiencies across branch operations, the contact center and elsewhere in the bank.

GMT On-Demand is available in two deployment options. The first option is a Software as a Service (SaaS) option, under which GMT hosts and maintains the application software and hardware with clients retaining full control over the application itself. The second is a Business Process Optimization (BPO) option, under which GMT will also manage the entire application on behalf of the client as well as providing clients with all necessary reports to support workforce management. For both deployment options, two functional models are available; the first provides capacity modeling and management reporting and the second provides the capability to edit and view schedules within the branch, in addition to the capacity modeling and management reporting features available under the first model.

“We are pleased to be able to offer GMT On-Demand to enable institutions of all sizes to reap the full benefits of workforce optimization technology,” commented GMT chief executive officer, Simon Angove. “We’re excited to offer this product to a previously under-served segment of the market that traditionally has not been able to realize the benefits of such a comprehensive yet affordable solution. Competitive offerings have either offered restricted versions with reduced capabilities or limited an organization’s ability to add functionality, such as schedule creation and editing in the branch, as their needs changed. With this new offering, our clients will have all the power and benefits of an on-premise GMT Planet implementation without a costly IT capital expenditure.”

GMT representatives will be on hand in booth #1272 to discuss GMT On-Demand as well as demonstrate GMT Planet to conference attendees during the 2008 BAI event from November 18-20.
